Pharmaceutical technology is the multidisciplinary science of preparing pharmaceutical dosage forms. Pharmaceutical technology combines knowledge and understanding of active ingredients, excipient substances, technological processes and equipment and plays a key role in developing new drugs.<\/p>\n

B. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology recently started to provide a deeper understanding of pharmaceutical product development and novel drug delivery system. Departments laboratory facilities include analytical instruments, equipment’s for pharmaceutical dosage form preparation and evaluation. Common pilot plant facility includes equipment’s and machines to deal with dosage development including liquid orals, semisolids such as ointments, creams, gels, Solid dosage form including powders, capsules, tablets, coating pan, size reduction mills and the Glatt coater, Rapid Mixing Granulator dealing with specific dosage form requirements like granulation and coating etc.<\/p>\n
